Located in the beautiful mountains of Southeastern Kentucky, the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center is a 120 bed long-term care facility providing skilled nursing care and rehabilitation for Kentucky veterans.
EKVC is operated by the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs and was built for the sole purpose of taking care of Kentucky Veterans.
The Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard, Kentucky, was named after former Governor Paul E. Patton to honor his significant contributions to improving services for veterans during his tenure (1995–2003). He was specifically recognized for prioritizing the construction of this facility, noting the effort as one of the most meaningful of his governorship.
Paul E. Patton, Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center (EKVC) is located on 30 acres in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, in Hazard, Kentucky, the 120-bed facility provides long-term skilled nursing care for Kentucky’s veterans of the armed forces of the United States.
