Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East (KVCNE) opened in October 2010. KVCNE is a 75-acre facility located outside of Grayson (Greenup County), KY on the Industrial Parkway just off of Interstate 64. The Cemetery is staffed with four full-time employees; a Cemetery Director, an Administrative Assistant, a Superintendent and one Caretaker. Ernie West, a Korean War veteran, is a medal of honor recipient buried within KVCNE. As of June 30, 2021, 1,441 veterans and eligible family members are interred, averaging 16 interments per month. KVCNE is directed by Frank Kees.
