New Veterans

Welcome Home.  On behalf of all Kentuckians, thank you for your service to the Commonwealth and the Nation.

Military service has a long and fervent tradition in Kentucky, from the woods along the River Raisin to the beaches of World War II to the jungles of Vietnam and the hot desert sands of Iraq.

By answering the call of duty, by showing commitment to the democratic ideals of this fledgling nation, and by demonstrating unselfishness and courage – Kentucky’s men and women in service set a high standard for our state.

We owe respect to all our veterans and their families – who also made sacrifices worthy of our recognition.

Here in Kentucky, our support is institutionalized in the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, whose sole responsibility is to make sure you and your family receive all the benefits and services you have earned.

Please let us help you apply for those services and benefits, to make sure your claims are submitted and approved as quickly and efficiently as possible.

You can find your local Veterans Benefits Field Representative by clicking here.  You may also call KDVA toll-free at 1-800-928-4012.

Thank you again for your great personal sacrifice, vigilance and commitment to ensuring the security of our homeland and the preservation and promotion of freedom and justice for all people.

Sincerely,

Signatures of Steve Beshear and Ken Lucas

Steven L. Beshear                  Kenneth R. Lucas
Governor                               Commissioner, KDVA
