Wreaths Across America
Hundreds of volunteers placed more than 1,300 wreaths at Kentucky's three veterans cemeteries on Dec. 12 as part of the national Wreaths Across America ceremony. In Williamstown, volunteers collected donations to purchase almost 100 wreaths, and volunteers braved freezing temperatures in bright sunshine to place them on headstones.
The ceremony was hosted by the Blue Star Mothers of America. There was a short service at the Committal shelter, followed by laying a Wreath at each Veteran's Grave Site.
